High Glamour, High Energy: DJing the Tarte x Sephora Takeover at The Grove

There is no retail energy in Los Angeles quite like The Grove on a weekend—especially when two beauty powerhouses team up for a massive takeover.
This past February 28, I had the absolute thrill of being the official DJ for the exclusive Tarte x Sephora event right here in LA. To celebrate Tarte's iconic Shape Tape and their viral #trippinwithtarte squad party, we transformed Sephora at The Grove into a high-glam, high-energy beauty celebration.
The Sonic Aesthetic: Fresh, High-Fashion, & Vibrant
An elite beauty event demands a soundtrack that feels both current and chic. For this set, I stepped away from the deeper, late-night club tones and leaned heavily into high-fashion pop, upbeat vocal house, and vibrant, rhythmic grooves.
The goal was to match the electric energy of the Tarte squad, the beauty enthusiasts lining up around the block, and the fast-paced glamour of The Grove. The music had to make people feel confident, energized, and ready to capture content the second they stepped into the space.
Spinning for the Trendsetters
From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was packed with beauty creators, special guests like JaNa Craig, and an incredible crowd of makeup lovers. Providing the literal heartbeat for a brand activation of this scale is exactly why I love what I do.
When you look out from the DJ booth and see a packed store of people tapping their feet, singing along to custom edits, and matching the rhythm of the room while testing products, you know the vibe is flawless.

Partnering with global giants like Sephora and Tarte Cosmetics highlights a crucial aspect of my corporate DJ services: the ability to seamlessly integrate sound with brand identity.
